ROM Repo (WIP)

This is my personal list of resources I thrown together for those in search of ROMs in the wake of Vimm’s no longer being a complete databse.

Some 1fichier archives may have passwords. In the event you come across a password, it is probably either AlvRo or _AlvRo.

If you are a RetroAchievements user, check the “Supported Game Files” button on the game’s page to make sure you are using the right ROM.

I haven’t uploaded any of these files myself, and have no affiliation with any of the groups linked below. This is simply a compilation of links to other resources.

Terminology

If you are new to emulation some of these terms may be a bit confusing. Hopefully this helps clear up any confusion you might have.

  • AlvRo - A popular ROM archiver’s username.
  • No-Intro - A group of “ROM auditors” that ensure high quality dumps/rips.
  • NoPayStation - Software used to download games, DLC, and updates directly from Sony’s CDN, with decryption keys to play them.
  • Redump - A group of “ROM auditors” that ensure high quality dumps/rips.
  • ROM auditors - Users who ensure ROMs have proper “hashes”, aka perfect rips.
  • Title Update - A patch/update for a game. Usually good to check if a game has one available.
